Different filters are designed to remove different pollutants from your air.
Aspen's filters are custom-designed to allow maximum airflow and filtration effectiveness. The rest of the unit is designed around the filters.
Aspen's filters remove 99.99% of particles down to 1.0 micron, 99.97% of particles down to 0.1 microns, and more than 99.98% of nano-particles down to 0.002 microns.
Some air purifiers use technologies that can actually be harmful to your health or have other adverse effects, such as UV lights, ionizers, or ozone generators. Our units are guaranteed not to produce ozone, and we use 100% safe purification methods because your health is our priority.
Aspen uses EC fan technology, which can use up to 85% less electricity than a traditional AC fan at a given air flow volume. The efficiency gains are even more pronounced at lower fan speeds which are used most frequently.
An efficient air purifier will save you money on electricity while effectively cleaning your air.
Filters should be changed once per year for optimal air cleaning performance. To change filters, simply unlatch the filter door and slide out the 3 air filters.
Where to Use Aspen
Living room, office, bedroom, kitchen, or anywhere you want to breathe healthy air
Coverage Area
1,500 square feet
Warranty
10-year warranty with filter subscription 2-year standard warranty
The Aspen Air Purifier and SuperDry XS combine to create the most efficient, highest performing whole-home indoor air quality solution on the market. The SuperDry XS works in your customer's below ground space to remove dust, mold spores, and mildew from the air, all while eliminating over 100 liters of airborne moisture a day. Meanwhile, the Aspen is working upstairs to remove smoke, odors, viruses, VOCs, and other particles PM2.5 and smaller that can enter deep into your customers' lungs and cause life-threatening illnesses. This means that the air circulating throughout the entire home stays dry, healthy, and comfortable - forever.
10-year warranty with annual filter replacements, 2-year standard warranty.
CN Air Group is responsible for the warranty to the dealer, and the dealer is responsible for the warranty to the customer. The filter subscription means the dealer replaces the filters for the customer every year as part of annual maintenance.
The short answer is 1,500 square feet. The long answer is it depends on several factors such as, how many air changes per hour you want. For example, given Aspen's pollen CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 442 CFM and smoke CADR of 373 CFM we can calculate the room size (assuming 8 foot ceilings) for different air changes per hour. An air change is when the entire air volume of the room goes through the unit.
Air Changes per Hour | Room Size (Pollen CADR) | Room Size (Smoke CADR) |
1 | 3320 sq.ft. | 2800 sq.ft. |
2 | 1660 sq.ft.
|
1400 sq.ft. |
3 | 1105 sq.ft. | 930 sq.ft. |
4 | 830 sq.ft. | 700 sq.ft. |
It's best to put Aspen where you spend most of your time or where there are higher levels of pollution. Most people put Aspen in the living room, kitchen, or bedroom. If you only have one Aspen and a two story house, it's best to put it on the lower level because the natural airflow through a house is from bottom to top due to the stack effect. This will allow the air in both the upstairs and downstairs rooms to be cleaned.
Every 12 months. A light on the control will turn on when it's time to change the filters. If you have excessive dust, from woodworking for example, you may need to change the Allergy Filter more often.
The Owner's Manual (page 5) has instructions with diagrams on how to change the filters. Simply unlatch the door handles, pull the old filters out, slide the new filters in, and replace the door.
We recommend using the highest fan speed that you can while not being bothered by the noise. For most people, this is around 3 or 4. Higher fan speeds will clean more air but also be louder.
You should always keep the unit on, even if it's on a low fan speed. If it's off, it's not cleaning the air and protecting you from air pollutants.
Dealers can purchase Aspens with wholesale pricing from Contractor Nation.
No. The customer does not need to register Aspen for the warranty to be effective. The dealer should keep track of when their customers' filters are changed.
Sound levels are actually a pretty involved topic, but I'll keep it simple here.
Technical answer:
There aren't defined standards for how to measure sound pressure levels for air purifiers, so when you see published numbers they can vary depending on where the microphones were placed in relation to the unit during the test. We've had extensive testing done on Aspen for sound. Here are the sound pressure levels by fan speed:
I would describe the sound levels by fan speed as follows:
Aspen by itself is not a solution to radon gas. If a homeowner has radon, they still need a radon mitigation system. However, radon decay products (polonium, bismuth, and lead) are metals that can easily attach to dust and other particles in the air. Aspen will capture those dust particulates and any radioactive debris attached to it. In this way, Aspen can make a great addition to a radon mitigation system.
No! Aspen does not remove CO2 from the air.
Wood smoke is made up of a mixture of particulates and gases. Aspen can remove any of the toxic soot particulates that can result from burning wood, but not all of the gases which are responsible for the smell. It can remove some of the gases with its carbon filter, but not all of them, so there may still be that smell of wood burning present. The particulates, which Aspen removes, are the component of smoke that causes negative health effects.
